Green benefits will motivate staff
Employees would be keener to be greener if their organisation brought in green staff benefits according to a new report out by the Energy Saving Trust.Staff state a lack of time as the main barrier to taking eco actions but 44% said that green benefits would be a big motivator for them.
Ideas for green benefits included bringing in Energy Advisors to help staff reduce their energy usage and carbon footprint in the home and at work; loans for energy saving products and access to green finance products.
Organisations wanting to offer such assistance to their staff can take advantage of co2balance’s Staff Engagement Workshops, which engage with staff to lower their carbon emissions and set up Green Teams in the workplace to drive forward a low carbon culture.
